Goodbye PayPal

Today was my last day at PayPal -- I've worked there since August 1999, before the site launched. I decided several months ago that I wanted to leave and spend time working on some of my own projects. I told my boss in September, and since then I've worked part-time, wrapping things up

I have a difficult time leaving jobs as well. Did writing about it change the sad feelings? If you find a neat activity or journal topic that gives you insight into leaving, I'd like to know.

It's a huge transition... there's nothing wrong with feeling sad. It makes sense to mark the passing of a period of your life with a strong emotion.

In any case, you're extremely intelligent, and I look forward to seeing what you do next.
