I've heard that the real purpose of Kindergarten is to make sure all the kids are on an equal footing for grade one. Some kids, like Kate, come into JK with pretty good academic skills but maybe lacking in some social skills. Other kids may be great at standing in line and getting along with other kids but not able to recite their letters etc. ( Read more... )

I've spent most of the morning working on my Christmas cards. I'm about half way done which just helps to remind me that I am blessed with a large circle of exceptional friends. I may not think about that on a daily basis but when I realize that I've blown though my box of thirty cards and I haven't managed to write to everyone I wanted to it ( Read more... )

I tried the demo for World of Goo today. I'm not normally a big fan of physics based building games but this one captivated me. And there is a great sense of humor behind it. I will likely buy the full game, but first I need to decide if I want it for the PC or though WiiWare.
