OK, so really I only dropped from a Foot Locker XL to a Foot Locker L, but still. Awesome. Good thing my old shirts still fit as well. Stretchy American Apparel (eck) shirts, I still wear XL, because L is made for guys who don't have shoulders, or much of a torso at all (i.e. a 2x4 ( Read more... )

Pan's Labyrinth = tears streaming down my face. Frog stomach = cooooooool!!!

I was not so terribly happy with Pan's Labyrinth. While I agree that the production was amazing, I found the story to be depressingly simplistic, although I was impressed at the ending.

But, walking out of it, I felt like it was so black-and-white: the good guys were good, the bad guys were bad, and there was no complication of that. Her fantasy world was shown to be nothing but a fantasy, and the real world was just terrible.
