Watching the German coverage of the Japanese earthquake and tsunami.  I've already heard from my friends there, who are ok and are luckily far from the epicenter.  The main worry now is the possibility of a meltdown at 2 of the Japanese AKW (atomic energy works). Shit. The possibility of a repeat of Chernobyl is terrifying.

It is very, very scary. I can't imagine experiencing something like that. I'm glad that your trip was over earlier than this.
