40 footsteps? whats that supposed to represent?

I'll fish around for $2 if I can. I might be there. And if I do, the coolness of the venue will triple. Ten fold.

fletcher said two brothers fought a battle in some field in england. when they had finished all that was left were 40 footsteps and nothing else. this was in the late 17th century, the footsteps stayed there for around 5 years.
