This Thursday is the first day of a week of carneval, then lent starts. It has different names here in Germany: Weiberfasching, Gumpiger Donnerstag, Unsinniger Donnerstag...
What traditionally happens: All the wenches (Weiber) have the right to teach the men a lesson. So we take scissors and cut their ties. Sometimes, if they aren't wearing one, we cut the shoelaces. You gotta wear some costume and then have a funny day. Mostly this includes drinking alcohol, singing drinking songs, dancing, ect.
I have to work and my last day at this job, so no running wild for me. But I still dress up and then go to work and cut some ties. Last year I was dressed as a bee, the year before as a ragdoll. I might wear my medieval costume this time. Pure wenching. ;)
Since almost no one is wearing a tie here at Thursday (Schmutziger Donnerstag = Dirty Thursday)my "booty" will be very small. *mutter* Didn't know that you can cut of shoelaces too....... *biggrin*
I don't like "Weinerle" as one of the radiospeakers called him once. ;)
Gla your feeling better hun! I can't wait to read the text to the songs from your little brother. Like i said, I'm not much of a dealth metal fan here. lol

Wallowing in self pity is acceptable sometimes. You should always make sure to have plenty of tequila on hand.
