This morning when I went outside to start the car, 15 minutes earlier than usual, the temperature stood at a balmy 243 K. Well, balmy in the sense that it was 243° above Absolute Zero. This of course translates to -30°C, or for those Americans out there who staunchly refuse to join the rest of the world, -22°F.
