Martin Harley and Sam Lewis
Last week I drove home to see my parents on the Wednesday. I'd bought tickets to see Martin Harley in Brighton and so decided to take my parents and brother along (I've put a song at the bottom in case you wanted to listen). The Big Adventure Day
Yesterday was the big excursion. I'd booked a trip out by coach, to save having to hire a car and then attempt to navigate our way around in the snow. We were picked up at 08:30 and were supposed to go straight to the nearest National Park, but the driver said the road was too icy, so we would be going there on the way back instead. Northern Line and the Blue Lagoon
We got picked up for our Northern Lights tour a little after 20:30 and driven a good 45 minutes out to somewhere on the coast with supposedly little light pollution. There was a lighthouse, which was lovely, but it meant the theme tune to Round the Twist was in my head all night. LGW to KEF
Day one in Reykjavik. We flew from Gatwick yesterday. I've brought my chair so whenever I got out of it, Neil (my brother) got in it and sped off. Just waiting at the gate yesterday he fell out backwards twice :-) we did hand luggage only to save on cost and time. Bastille
Bastille are my new favourite thing... and by 'new' I mean about 3 months old. I quite fancied seeing them live on their current tour but they're playing fairly small venues and very few are seated so I'm back to the whole standing issue.
