[OOC] SERIOUS POLE

This is not going up in the main comm 'cause it's something I'm curious about just on a me-type basis. Also, I may be cross-posting it to my personal journal eventually. Is it sad that I trust you guys more than my own FL?

Er, yeah, everything. For instance, I used to hate "lol" with the FIRE OF A THOUSAND SUNS but now I actually use it. Mostly when I want to react to something funny but not with XD. Which I equate with laughter more than "lol" because "lol" just makes me think of stupid interneters

Heh, so many things I picked up here, even beforehand playing. I always used to use emoticons, but I started using a lot of ¦D and 8Db and :> <-- that was Juri's fault?! I didn't even know.

I have to say, though, knowing cfud lingo probably helped when I first got in. It made it really easy to talk to people on the chan.

Almost all of the other RPGs I play in are IRCRPGs, where action is going too fast and is too purely IC - given that the OOC channel tends to be a separate channel altogether - for me to use any form of formatting beyond turns of phrase and 'proper' sentence structure. OOC-wise I'll blather just like any RPG.

The other forum RPG I'm in is similarly serious, though does include OOC marks.

As far as picking up OOC terms of speech go, this isn't particularly confined to any given RPG. I pick up patterns of speech by osmosis, so was already using a lot of CFUD-isms before even apping. It's just a natural habit I have.

IT'S ONLY FAIR since I basically assimilate anything ANYONE does for ANY period of time and then I use it way more than the original person and spread it to other people. LIKE THE STUTTERING THING. I AM A DISEASE
