I am giving serious thought to signing up for Remix this year. Never done it before, but it looks fun. I prompted at lgbtfest, and am probably going to claim two of those prompts back. It looks like an awesome fest.

I really like your attitude towards Robinson, and feel the same way. Especially since I'm pretty sure that it's the same thing that happened with Johns and Superboy four years ago - that mini SCREAMED "editorial mandate".

Any doubts as to my love for Fraction were erased when he gave Magneto the redemption arc he so richly deserves.

Oh, and I saw you recced me. <333333

Remix looks like it is very fun. Not only the joy seeing an entirely new take on one of your fics, but the challenge of re-interpreting another writers work. The difficulty for me lies in the choice of which four fandoms to offer to write: DC is broken down into three separate categories (comics, animation, movies), X-Men into two (comics, movies), the rest of Marvel into another two (comics and movies). There's also Smallville and several scifi fandoms (eg. New Who, Trek) that I wouldn't necessarily be inspired to write my own fic for, but remixing an existing fic sounds fun.

Yay for prompting for lgbtfest! It does look like it will be awesome. :)

Thanks! I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels that way. :D Cry for Justice really did scream editorial mandate, especially considering the Titans issues published concurrently to it.

Fraction=♥ Ooh, I think I missed the Magneto arc (after I dropped the book, probably). I'll have to go back and find it. Do you remember which issues is was?

:D:D:D I love that story. Thank you again for writing

The Magneto arc really started after the whole Utopia thing started, and has been going up till now. Today's issue was awesome. So you'd start right after the crossover with (blah) Dark Avengers. :) I don't have the issue numbers on hand, though. It's a great series, except the art gets pretty bad at times.

Cool, thanks! It sounds like it starts right after I stopped reading, so I should just pick up where I left off. Yeah, the art. Ugh! I told Fraction I couldn't stand Land's art and that was a factor in not reading. He said, "Art is subjective, but that's not the first time I've heard that." So, yeah.

It hasn't been announced that Willingham's off the JSA, but once his arc is over in June, Robinson will be writing both JLA and JSA for the duration of his 5-part crossover (so three months?). Essentially, it looks like Todd's finally coming back in Willingham's June issue: "The Fourth Reich's Darkness Engine is turned against them in the powerless JSA's last-ditch attack on the Nazi Empire! As the future looks its darkest, a lost teammate returns who just might give the heroes an advantage they need!" (cover).

In Justice League, Robinson's bringing Jennie back to be his Green Lantern, but something about the Starheart power will drive Alan crazy and she's got to "fight him to save him". I asked him at ECCC if Todd will be involved and he hesitated before he said "yes". So, I got rather panicky reading June's JLA solicit: "The return of one hero heralds the release of the powerful Starheart that empowers Green Lantern Alan Scott. Now this chaotic force is unleashed on Earth, causing magic to go wild - and new metahumans to emerge! It ( ... )

Hahaha! Yes, exactly! I'm hoping it will be fun and maybe allow Jen her say.
