Well I guess I'd better let you all know what's going on before I start getting demands for answers.
...Maybe I shouldn't flatter myself, lol.
Anyway, I finally secured a state job. Yes, it's in Folsom, which is about a 45 minute drive for me, yes, it's in the Folsom State Prison/California State Prison, so I'll be around a bunch of evil men... but ( Read more... )

So I'm stressed out. I was in denial about it before, but the constantly twitching spot in the center of my forehead that's been going for 3 days should have tipped me off. Now it's time to make a list about what exactly it is that's got me so worked up. More to come later.

Okay so here's the low down.
One: I've pretty much got a job in the bag. All I have to do is pass a TB test and a backgrounding, and I'll be an Office Technician at the California State Prison in Folsom. Not the best location, I'll admit, but I'm taking whatever I can get my hands on.

I totally forgot to mention that I got a speeding ticket yesterday, like a quarter of a block from my office.
Problem is, my parents won't help me pay for it, and there's absolutely no way I can pay it all at once.
I'm not really sure what I'm going to do.
