It might not be the disc, but the PS1 itself. Dutt's PS1 had the same problem reading my FF IIX discs, but they played flawlessly on my PS1.

See if you can clean up the laser eye, and, if to no avail, I don't know what to tell you.

IIX is not a real number.... ismilesometimes September 28 2005, 03:48:10 UTC
So yeah, I think it'll work now, the disk was a little scratched, and it isnt now. I'd still like to borrow a different copy, if I can, just in case.

But I don't really want to start yet cus I dont have one of these "memory cards" that I evidently need, cus then I'll get to a hard boss somewhere around disc 3, and lose everything again.

It should be. Considering that you're usually told that Roman numerals shouldn't have more than 3 characters a pop .. VIII seems overkill. I mean, look at 4 .. IV. Take that concept to eight, and you've got one less character.

and for whatever reason, IIX is alot easier to differentiate from IX than VIII from VII.

IX IIX
VII VIII

But despite that, for whatever reason it's always been VIII rather than IIX I think the thinking is that when you write a small letter to the left of another, its tidier. By your logic, MCCM would be easier to read than MDCCC, or to take it a little further, MCCD easier than MCCC.

I saw Advent Children.

I didn't really know what was going on, but it intrigued me.
I had extra cash on a gift card at blockbuster.
I was bored.

Do you have a copy?

mine did the same shit right when it told me to switch disc, luckly for me i saved before hand.

i'll tell what worked for my one friend, put the disc in and turn the system upside down and that always made it work for him. just a thought.

dont give up the game gets so much better around the end of disc 2.

and what do you hate about the battle system?

FF8 has sort of what you're talking about, although not exactly real time.

u can go to the options and set the battle system to "active" and then whenever your time bar fills up you just attack so its kind of more real time becuase if you're takin forever lookin through menus and shit the enemy will just keep knockin the shit out of you instead of waiting for you're turn to be over

but i guess thats as close as it gets.
