We often come into contact with the idea that our best isn’t good enough, as if this were actually possible. If you examine this notion, you will begin to see that it doesn’t make much sense. Thanks for this. I routinely beat myself up inside and have a great fear of not being good enough. It makes school a hell because I agonize over homework, presentations and research papers. I am always afraid that what ever I do is crap, but I get very good grades.
I only feel good about what I do when I see the A on it. That is sad, I should realize that I am doing fine and be able to put my fears away.

It's rather appropriate for me this week as well as I have my falconry exam tomorrow.

I've been stressing about it for a couple of months, pushing myself to study hard because I want to be perfect on this test, to make my sponsor proud.

I have to remind myself that I am not competing against my fellow apprentices, I don't have to prove I'm better, smarter...I just have to pass the exam and my sponsor will teach me the rest.
