Long weekend

Jun 01, 2009 02:20

Kurt has been enjoying a long, Memorial Day weekend and it couldn't be at a better time. Both yesterday and today we've had beautiful, SUNNY weather!   =)

On Saturday, we went over to a neighbors house for a traditional Belgian barbecue. We sat under a large canopy in their garden and ate lots of curry chicken, leeks, sausages, shrimp, garlic sauce ( Read more... )

Ah, a dog and a beach. I love watching Foibles onthe beach, digging up shells that were a couple of inched under the sand, it's her dog duty and a great joy to her. I think I would like it in Belgium, a sensable people who BBQ and like dogs.

We've not really taken Maggie out too much, so the enormous atmosphere of the beach was really a biggie for her. =)

Yes, there's a lot that I really love here. Belgium is an absolutely beautiful country with a people that live in a way that is very different from what I was accustomed to. As much as I sometimes miss my American culture, there are aspects of the Belgian lifestyle that I'm really gonna miss.

Amazing how much Maggie loved it there. She was probably thinking 'This is wild'. Lol!

By the way, the movie was called 'Search & Destroy'. It was funny but quite weird indeed. :)

I♥You.

Amazing!!! Maggie at the beach? She looks like she is really having a good time. Sould take her out more often. It took a short while before Sadie Mae got used to being out. She is really well behaved around other folks now. Ah... just looking at MM makes me miss her... she's still a little devil dog though under all that bad hair.

Yup, baby-girl went to the beach! Next time...a little bikini for her to wear, to hide all of that bad hair! =)

Somehow I missed this post of yours, though I caught Kurts. It sounds like a wonderful day, and I was glad to read about the trip to the beach AND the gardening. I hope you guys have a lot of sunny days this summer, Karen. :)

Somehow I missed this comment of yours until now too. :o
Thanks (as always) for the sweet wishes, Stephanie. =)

I've not really been here much lately. I hope all is well with you and the wees.

Could you possibly send me, or post in an entry a link where I can purchase your book? I've lost that info, and though I think of it often, I keep neglecting to ask you.

I'm just finishing Ethan Frome (again) and in the midst of Memoirs Of A Geisha (which I'd never read and find it to be really disturbing), and then I'm OUT of all, but Dutch (*ack*) books. =/

We're doing okay, Karen. Thanks for asking. :)

I hope you're okay, too. I'm glad to see you around today.

This link should work. If it doesn't let me know. It's just a book of drabbles though; I don't think it would be very satisfying. :(
