I'm really bad at this updating thing...

Yeah, I know. I am. But I can't help it. I've been super super busy at work. You try working 6 days a week, getting training stuffed in your head, dealing with *people* in all their wonderful, strange, tedious and tiring ways, teaching and talking and blah ( Read more... )

Maggie! Congrats on the AT job! I totally knew that you would get it! Yayyyyyy!
I know what you mean about the updating. I haven't done any worthwhile update in ages and I have dropped a lot of my e-mail correspondence because when I get home from work, the last thing I want to do is to write about it. I think that this is likely a syndrome pandemic to ESL teachers the world over and thus a new term should be coined. We'll have to think of something snappy (more language, hahah).

Thanks babe! I just hope that it was the right decision (I mean it was, I just don't like managment you know :P ) As I said to my co-workers, I'm not naive enough to think I can make the company perfect, but I am naive enough to think that I can stand between my people and the beauracracy (or something like that).
Anyway, yeah ESL teachers unite in not speaking English :P Damnit, don't challenge me to think cause you know I can't resist it and I should cause my brain needs rest.. I know, I shall convince myself that if I don't think about it, I will subconsciously think about it and thus an answer will form that I have both thought and not thought about. That should satisfy both sides of my brain/personality...

(yes, I am fully aware of how insane that sounds...)

I'm just the opposite. The more stuff that happens to me, the more I need to write it all down. I never thought I would have the sense of routine to maintain a journal, but now I'm writing more than ever. The only reason I haven't been updating lately is because I've been running around Otafest for the entire weekend, and I've only just now woken up from a massive sleep-session right after it all. Even still, before and during the show I've been preparing a massive update to my journal throughout detailing all the behind-the-scenes goodness.

I wish I had that discipline. *sigh*
But then, I think that the difference might be that when I come home the last thing I want to do is deal with more language.

Wow, Otafest already... time sure flies. I look forward to reading about it :)

AT's of the world unite and overthrow the high management!! Well maybe not yet, you might want to see how the bureaucracy works before trying to overthrow it. Seriously congratulation on the promotion, I know you will be there for the teachers and try to improve conditions.
