Huh.

Well, I'm gonna have fun on that day ( Read more... )

I don't get what's the deal with this trick-or-treat thing, Maebara. What the hell do I have to do?

You're supposed to get candy from people but it's not that simple! If the refuse to give the goods, you have to play a practical joke on them and that's where it gets good.

But then, Maebara said that if you don't get sweets, you gotta do a trick on the people or something?

That's why it's called trick or treat! But I'm sure everyone will take part properly and hand out sweets! I hope they will, at least!

..but the twins will probably play tricks on people anyway.

It's based on an ancient feast day called All Hallows Eve, a night when it was believed the spirits of the dead can return to earth.

That's seriously kinda freaky. I guess people gotta make it fun or it's going to be super scary for everyone.

Times have changed since then, and since most don't believe in ghosts anymore, the customs that were used to try adn ward off evil spirits have become something to do for fun and celebration.

So what's up with the pumpkin carving? I gotta try it too one of these days, 'cause it looks fun.

It sounds pretty fun, but I still don't get this whole dressing up for candy thing...

So you HAVE to be dressed up to get candy?

Yeah, I like participating in these kinds of festival things. They're usually pretty enjoyable, even last year's.
