According to this article, http://www.en.barks.jp/news/?id=1000003118 apparently Dean's parents were upset that he'd joined a band (how old is he?) so he had to pull out and Hancho said she wanted to go back to being a fan. Of course, I question those reasons and think that maybe the two couldn't meet MUCC's scheduling expectations?

Although there were many wrongly translated articles about this, it should have been obivious that this was just a game, and they would be in the band for a period of time decided by MUCC. So, of course, their reasons for leaving were totally a joke.

"Dean" really did tweet that his mom was scary, though. I suppose it was his way of explaining. "Hancho" just said she wanted to go back to being a fan. Still, it was an odd little contest.

Cool, thanks for the update! The girl seems a bit lost, though, haha.

But how are they mispronouncing "halo"? Apart from messing up the L as usual it's perfectly fine o.O

You're welcome! And yeah the girl was really quiet and nowhere near as excited as most people would be if Mucc was in the same room. Shouldn't it be hā-lo not ha-lo?

The time they were planned to remain members was most probably those two weeks... pretty surely MUCC had everything more or less planned out from the beginning^^

Actually no! They were supposed to stay in Mucc for how Long they wanted.
They really were supposed to stay. But
1.) both received lots of hate Mails (especially Hancho)
2.) it was the idea of Muccs Management, to raise more Interest in Mucc. So I guess the Band wasn't that happy about it
3.) also I was told from someone who worked with Mucc, that they were very unhappy about this all, since it was an Order from the Management. So instead of them staying in Mucc forever, they tried to find a Way to Get rid of them. (so thats why they made such lame excuses)

In the end I think especially Hancho would have Never been tolerated by the Fans. She is Not japanese and a Woman.
For me the Problem would have been: I am a Fan since 13 years. For me Mucc has 4 members.

Wow. Can I ask you, who is the 'someone who worked with Mucc' you mentioned? Not name of course, but nationality and what kind of work she/he did. I'm just interested. And those hate mails were sent to Sony or someplace like that? ('Cause I know from a pretty trustable source that they themselves personally didn't get anything like that. Though, of course, some people wrote such things on internet on their own twitter or blog.)
It's interesting what you wrote, but the they could have staied as long as they wanted part's surely not true. Even if it wasn't decided at the beginning, how long this thing will last, it was planned just for a short period. :)

He is japanese and did the technical stuff for them and still sometimes does. He also works for some other Bands like girugamesh.
They were in the BBS but deleted by the Admin and also of course the Official Homepage has an Email. And of course Twitter.
And no. I thought it was just for a Short Time too and reread the article on the Mucc Homepage and it says that you will be a Full member. No Time Limit. ( also asked a few japanese Friends and japanese translators to confirm that they are members for as Long as they wish)
Guess thats what made many so pissed

I don't know how fully trustable is what a person says who only works for them sometimes, but well ( ... )
