lauren, it seems like my impending thanksgiving-vacation doom is going to come on pretty damn strong. so that means no white's pond and no pumpkin togetherness. but someday, i will in fact come to that whirling expensive city you live in. and when i do can we take a new york city artists exploration day? i think that'd be fun. especially if there is not 31-degree rain. okay? love you bye.

i think someone up in these parts likes vegan chocolate cake very much. because it's here allll the time now! and you better come back. even if you're not vegan anymore...

yes! i found it at blockbuster, surprisingly enough. it really made me want to slip right into the that-era artist circuit. and explore ray johnson's house. oh my!

I still think you might really like Henry Miller's books. The Rosy Crucifixion trilogy is what I recommend.

I get that a lot with my father, with authors like Charles Bukowski, Hermann Hesse and Miller...a lot of my favorites, and he'll be like "You're reading that? I loved that when I was your age," and I think "what? he loved this same stuff that I do? Does that mean I'm going to turn out like that?"

Having ex-hippy parents is great. For this science thing, I was doing a research on vegan nutrition in infants, and like it was mostly like these obscure conditions where babies like fell apart because they got no B-12, but like one of them was a study about a huge hippy commune called "the Farm" which is a pretty famous place and like it said how healthy their vegan babies were. And my mum's a doctor so I was talking with her about that and she's like, yeah, your dad and I visited the Farm for a while actually....

i do live in australia and for the past week have been the ultimate mail machine (now that i have no school i have so much time) and so i would love you send you a package!
the only bad thing about sending to australia/sending from australia is that it takes about a week, but i guess it's okay if you're not impatient like me.

care to exchange addresses? oh.gossip@gmail.com
