How to score!

Jun 19, 2012 19:45

Here we will explain how to score in Round 1 Bingo! There are a variety of different ways to play and a variety of different scores you can achieve. The highest scoring participants will receive prizes (fanwork of some sort, though we are looking for more volunteers!).

Lines
Literally a line across the card. It can be horizontal, vertical or diagonal, but must be a straight line and five squares. Each square is 5 points and so by completing this formation, you can score 25 points. For example:

Multiple Lines
This is where you have two lines on your card. They can be a combination of horizontal and vertical lines. They must not intersect! Each square is worth 5 points and you can earn 50 points. For example:

Crosses
This is where you have two lines on your card that intersect in the centre square. The central square can only be used once and will only count for 5 points. You can earn 45 points with this square.

Blackout
This is where every prompt on the card has been fulfilled. You can earn 125 points.

Once you have completed a bingo - any kind - you can either ask for a new card, continue to work on the card you have (e.g. towards a blackout) or start again on the card you have. There is no limit to what you can create!
