Food bribery? I've seen worse marketing ideas.

God, I wish I could eat those...

So you're a zombie of some sort. That's interesting.

Becoming addled in your old age?

It's a very vague physical feeling, thus far. Something close to dissatisfaction. And those are the only two things that could leave me wanting at the moment.

I find that missing an individual and missing food remain distinct sensations, despite the shared source.

You don't know Pam. Eating or her, either in a bad mood is bound to give you awkward indigestion.

Mr. Bill Compton is not rolling, exactly. He is too much of a gentleman to roll. He is, however, strolling up the future grounds of Fangtasia (Fang-tay-se-uh). He isn't entirely comfortable leaving Sookie alone when there is still to much they don't know about this City, but from what he can tell, the bond his blood created between them is still strong. He can still feel her, sense her, locate her within the space of a minute. Besides, he and Eric still need to "talk shop", as the other vampire put it, and the reception of the club on the general public is of interest to him. After all, it will be recognized as a representation of life in their world. It's in everyone's best interest that the representation is a good one.

"You bake."

Eric is not too much of a gentleman to roll. Rolling with his homepires is, in fact, what he does. Unfortunately, he has no homies to roll with at the moment, no Pam in particular, and so he contents himself with wistfully thinking about her soft pink sweaters and folding his feet and propping them across a nearby folding aluminum chair.

He knew Bill was coming a few minutes ago. Smell travels well outdoors. But he still has the sense of humor or sense of social grace to act pleasantly surprised. He stares the other man up and down.

"Bill. You look good. And I'd like to say 'I bake,' but this is more of an instance of 'I know how to work a phone book.' I probably wouldn't be bad at it if I wanted to try, but the truth is, salt, sugar, it's all the same to me."

Bill would chalk it up to sense of humor. He knows very well that the other vampire could sense his approach from afar. The courtesy isn't necessary and he interprets it as more tongue-in-cheek than anything else. Then again, almost every interaction with Eric can fall under that description. The sole exception being, of course, matters of business.

Were Eric to admit he baked, Bill would not have been surprised in the least. In fact, he almost suspects that Eric owns an apron should the need for it ever arise. Something outrageous, perhaps with a terrible pun (not that Bill would every deny a great pun) or in a metallic color. Just his style.

"Well, they do seem...effective."

Leaning forward in his chair, Eric lets his feet fall, boots digging into the dirt beside the sidewalk. Staring up slightly at Bill, he points to the cupcakes in neat rows on the folding card table outside the half-built Fangtasia, work still going on inside of it, even at night.

And it's a decent night, clear, not raining, the temperature more forgiving than it would be in Bon Temps, if either of them were bothered by heat or cold.

"Where's your blonde human? She could have had some sweets. I believe she likes them, doesn't she?"

Of course they're interesting. They're advertisement.

That and flavor alone doesn't do much to grab my attention.

I'm speaking from personal experience when I say that cupcakes can be a pretty great attention getter.

Thank you for the cupcake earlier! It was delicious~ Although I think I'm too young to go to bars like that... let alone work there!

I only have one priority while I'm here. And that's to be happy and make other people happy too!

Yes. You're certainly too young to be in a bar. Or work in one. But I'm glad you enjoyed the food.

Are you happy?

...yes, I'm happy. As long as the curses don't get in the way too much, this place is pretty neat~
