It was slow going, especially since the pattern that got the most votes is fairly intricate, which means it's super slow to stitch. That's okay. It looks great. I can't wait to ( Read more... )

Wow, you've one up on me. I've been married for 5 years and have yet to change my name. Got my social and all that, but I've been dreading to deal with the DMV.

I've had unusually good luck when I go into DMV, but then, I can usually go during a time when most everyone else is at work, so I'm only dealing with one hour long lines instead of two or three. Supposedly, things are bit quicker if you make an appointment, and that certainly seemed to be the case yesterday.

Just remember, that if you go in to change your name, you also need to mention to them that you own a vehicle and need to change the name on the title. They won't pick up on that themselves.

That happened to me too! Not the name-changing part but when I moved, I never got my registration renewal. Silly me, I figured that when I got my *new* driver's license with my *new* address that it would change my address on file. How could I be so dumb as to assume that (said with heavy sarcasm)!

Yeah, just remember that the DMV is a government agency then when they have something stupid like this, you can just say "well, that's the government for ya".

LOL. Yeah, unfortunately, public schools are only a step up from DMV. You'd think that would mean I'd be prepared for incompetence, but it comes as a surprise every time. I'm just the eternal optimist, I guess.
