Strep has been going around school like crazy. I haven't had strep since I was 17, but I used to get it yearly. I'm hoping I'm immune!

I've always heard that strep goes around schools a lot, but my students rarely mention anything about it, so this hit me a bit by surprise. I've never had it before and was literally in tears when I felt no better by day three--still achy, still had a fever, still couldn't swallow, still dehydrated.

I really hope you are able to avoid it. I highly recommend hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes. From now on, I'm going back to being super anal about washing my hands with the disinfecting wipes throughout the day. I'm usually pretty good about using them after I handle papers for grading, but I need to get back to doing it after classes and particularly before meals.

I had that about 2 years ago and thought I needed my tonsuls out, it hurt so bad! :-(

Yeah, definitely has not been pleasant. Thankfully, I am feeling quite a bit better now, though not 100%. My husband pointed out today that I don't even look sick anymore, and then tried to drag me to the gym tonight. Yikes.

I've never had strep, but I've had some near strep things and just ouch. Feel better soon! And be sure to save one good breath for some student who deserves it :)
