It was amazing how many things people considered important, that in the end really weren’t.

He wasn’t a jewelry guy, but the pendant hung from his rearview mirror, just so that his sister would know that he didn’t forget about her.

He wanted to make sure that she got just as much out of their relationship as he did, but he was worried that one day, he was going to need more than she was willing to give.
