So Johnny gave a press conference today in Vancouver (4:00 PM PST if anyone wanted to know the tiny details) and while we're still waiting for the press conference to be uploaded to icenetwork.com, the blogs are already coming out with information from the press conference. With every interview, I fall for him a little more. He may not have won a medal at the Olympics, but he is a champion.

He definitely is - he cares so much about his fans, I fall a little more every time I see a new tweet from him on Twitter and with every interview too. I should probably go attach links to some of the blogs...

I know! He actually managed to turn the offensive comments those TV broadcasters made into something more lighthearted even though he was "frankly, pissed" when he heard about it (he was saying something about how he grew out his beard just for his performance or something along those lines) and some of what he said about masculinity/femininity/etc was just gorgeous (I'd include specifics but I don't remember what exactly off the top of my head sorry!) It's amazing how he handles all these snide comments ...

I still wish he could skate in the Gala (did you know Lady Gaga had promised to go if he skated his "Poker Face" EX Saturday?) but ... nothing we can do now, we already created the petition ...

OMG NO WAY!

sob only fifteen minutes longer and Johnny would have been in the building :) I think over 100 people showed up for his press conference!

He's so unbelievably genuine and real and he never actually loses his temper at all the media speculation and commentary, I think that's part of why his fans ♥ him. Everyone else is just too blind to see it
