I'm a little disappointed, but actually okay with it. It sounds like he's doing what's best for his skating and himself. It's better for him to pull out now if he doesn't feel up to competing, rather than going, bombing, and ending the season on a bad note.
Hopefully he'll get the focus he needs and we'll see him next season.
I don't know whether to be completely pissed that he pulled out of Worlds for no reason at all in a year when he had a good chance of medaling, or elated that he's (OMG!!) apparently NOT retiring.
The problem with the not retiring part is that with Johnny I won't believe it till I see it. Case in point: withdrawal from Worlds for no reason at all.
I am very happy for Adam Rippon though. I hope baby boy kills it like he did at 4C.
