i can tell you why I believe but there is no explaining how. it's just a feeling and it's a leap of faith and it's a trust that you have to have. there is no "how to" guide. it's just a decision that you make.
i believe because i think that in this craphole of a world there is something beautiful at the core. and that in the worst of all people there is something beautiful at their core.

as for the second question, it's proven that Jesus existed. there are 10 credited sources written within 200 years of Jesus' life that argue he existed, in addition to other facts about his life. so obviously I believe Jesus was real. but I think you're asking did he do all the things the Bible says/why Christianity. essentially, this comes out of my Moral Argument. there is an obvious problem of evil. anything imperfect has an evil nature. that means a chair with three legs is evil and we as humans have an evil nature. theism doctrine is that God is God is all-loving, all-powerful, all-knowing, all-everything, etc. A lot of people argue that if God is all of these things, why does evil exist?, why do bad things happen to good people?, etc. at least one of those attributes of God must be missing if we live in an imperfect world. thus, God must have created evil, making him imperfect, etc. but evil is not a thing, it is a lack of a thing. that mean evil is not something that was created, it exists as a lack of perfection. like a hole ( ... )
