Iceland rocked!

When I went a friend of mine described Iceland as Yellowstone on the outside and Ikea on the inside and I had to agree.
In Reykjavic, this was a good tapas place on the west end of the old town square (although I'm sure puffin isn't that authentic). The Pearl restaurant (Perlan) is a rotating, fancy dining establishment in a large dome overlooking the city. I really enjoyed the food but it was a bit pricey. Dunno if its still the hip spot but Spotlight was a great club that had a mixed crowd of gay and straight. Try the cucumber vodka made by Polestar.
The tours offered by the tour companies are not bad and the nice thing is they will even pick you up at your hotel if you need it. By all means, go to a few hot springs...and if you have the time, renting a car and driving up to Lake Myvatn is so worth it.
