Apartment

My predecessor sent me pictures of my apartment in Japan.

I'm going to be living in a building right by the subway station in Gakuentoshi (for those of you  familiar with Kobe). That's only a few stops away from my where I lived when I studied abroad.

Yeah, and I don't think I'll have the money to buy one. I am buying a couple of heaters from her for the winter, but summer I'm a bit concerned about. At the trains are air conditioned! :D

Is it a studio or is there a bedroom off the kitchen?

It doesn't look too small to me. It looks similar to the size of my first apartment. Perfect starter! Yea!

It's a studio. The little area off the kitchen is the entry way and the bathroom. I'm definitely happy with it. I really don't need a bunch of rooms when I can have one large-ish room. And it's definitely bigger than my dorm rooms in college. :D
