Grr! This is so frustrating. What am I doing wrong? When I bring up Channel Mixer, the red is already at 100%, so checking 'Monochrome' does nothing. Also, I don't understand how you did that blue effect :/ Did I miss a tutorial, or am I just being stupid?

In the channel mixer, the red should already be at 100%. When you check the monochrome box, the image should turn black and white.

To get the blue effect, just change the blend mode of the channel mixer layer to lighten.

If that doesn't help, let me know and I'll try to explain it better and possibly with pictures. :D

Hmm, okay... So how do you get it to be the pretty black and white? @_@ Also, how should the channel mixer look when it's set to lighten?

Thanks for explaining things, btw, I appreciate it ^^

Ok, this should be what the channel mixer looks like before you set it to monochrome - here

Once you click the monochrome box, it should turn B&W - here

If you set the monochrome channel mixer to lighten, your image should have only the blue colors showing - here
