So, a lot has been going on with me, and I thought I would give a short update.  My grandmother has recently become ill, and there is little change (unless by some miracle), that things will improve for her anytime soon.  She was diagnosed with Lung Cancer, which means, every person in my family must quit smoking.  This includes myself, mother,

I have heard that Brooklyn is supposed to be changing for the better and becoming a much cooler place to live than it was once upon a time. I guess they ran out of room in Manhattan?

That is why I am considering Brooklyn more than the other neighborhoods, and because I will not be able to afford Manhattan right away.

Well, while you're outfitting the fashion elite of Manhattan, I'll be scrounging spare change from the futon for toast, probably. That city's an amazing place, though, the locals' bloated pride notwithstanding. I can understand it, though. I've never been in a place (for seven days, admittedly, and I know that tourists have no sense of reality in the cities they visit) that made me wish I could be a part of it so badly. I can't wait for my first mugging!

The thing I think I will miss the most will be my car. My cute little red honda.

I think I am mainly getting it into my head right now, as well as my parents, because I am secretly scared to death. Moving all the way across the country. I can do it, and my dad said if I crash and burn I could always move to Ferndale until I get my barings back. Let's pray to god that that never happens.
