So I have been busting my ass here at Nordstrom for the last two weeks. I work in a buying team of a Buyer, Assistant Buyer, and then me, the office manager (nothing glamorous or cool, but I am getting there). What is it about NY, anyway?

Everyone seems to want to go there and yet, the locals don't like us all that much. Maybe that's the attraction. I've been tossing that place around for almost a good year now and am still pretty up in the air about it. I know I want to get into publishing, which means that I SHOULD go to New York because that's where the big 5 are. BUT I also want to write, and from what the literary agent (don't get excited for me--I'm not selling any manuscripts yet) I spoke to last night told me, it may be the last place I want to go. Eh...who knows? And Ivie, I'd better NEVER hear you complain about your job. EVER. I've been working at this place for nearly a year and haven't gotten any kind of raise and have to work for a woman who is certifiably bipolar. So let me know if you need anybody to cut some fabric swatches in the sweatshop downstairs. Or whatever.

Who's getting company retreats at a SPA??? You must be thinking of someone else.

I got a gift certificate for my Birthday to the spa, but that just went to a Massage, no manicure or pedicure.
