oh, right.

I must say, I was totally blown away by the response I got to my last post. You kids are incredible, really. I feel all... supported and loved and comfortable in my neurotics again. Actually, I got a migraine on Saturday, and then another one on Monday (ugh!) and so I was pretty much incapacitated for a couple of days, and now that the remnants of ( Read more... )

Well, evidently, we're not supposed to talk to our advisors until we get there or something. Which, yeah, doesn't make a whole lot of sense, because I can't sign up for French until I take a placement exam, so what do I do in the meantime? *annoyed*

You know, I completely forget to respond to that one. But I love you. And I support you. And all that other stuff you should already know.

And I wish that I would get an answer when I call your house, because I feel like I've been calling nonstop for two days and I need to talk to my Laney.

See, with you, the love and support is kind of a given at pretty much all times. We just kind of work like that. And I don't even know why I'm bothering to respond to your comment since I just called you on the phone, but, again, that's just how we are. And that's just how I like it.

minerva + nonexistant advisors + nonsensical policies = bitter frustration. Sigh, we'll get through it thought, right? yes, of course.

Honey don't worry about it. I know for example that for my major, the schedule I make on minerva is only tentative, and I won't mean my faculty advisor until Aug 23, at which time he or she will probably say, "This is all wrong!" and then we will create a proper schedule. Good times.

Exactly, nothing's set in stone, I suppose. And we'll all end up with SOMETHING on our schedules, so it's not worth the energy to worry. It all just seems so silly and needlessly frustrating though - inaccessible advisors, overloaded internet pages, complex requirements and policies, etc.

Aww, McGill, our lovely little bureaucracy <3

I hope I see you sometime before you and Frances wander off your Northern-y way.
