omg laney! i love you! that is such a sweet story! mwah!

sounds like both you and frances had a very productive few days.....ahhh! that day is drawing nearer and nearer. So terrifying! i guess i'm afraid to let go...letting go of the familiar when i am not moving seems to be harder then letting go of the familiar when i move. this seems strange to me, but when i think abou it, it does make sense.
what is the date of your departure?
love ya babe!

I think that makes total sense. Like, when I leave I'm losing so much, but I'm also gaining even more with all the new experiences and well, pretty much a new life to look forward to. For you you're kind of just, well... losing me and Frances.

But not really! That sounds way too morbid. We'll keep in touch all the time, and you'll come to visit and hang out in Montreal a ton, ok?

We still have a few weeks - I leave Aug 23.

Love you bunches dearest.

I love little kids when they're not mine [not that I've ever had any...] and I can shove them away as soon as they get whiney or annoying. However, their wonder, curiousity, and simplicity can be so endearing.

Aww, I love that story :)
What kind of cell phone plan do you have? I'm trying to switch to one with some sort of long distance deal.

I just got the Fido $25 deal (though don't be fooled by the name, it's actually like 46$ or something) - it has VERY few minutes, but all incoming calls are free. Also, long distance is super expensive... I pretty much plan on making my family call me, haha, since I don't have to pay for those. It's really not the best set-up, but it was the best I found. I'm not much of a phone person, anyway... I hate to make calls, so I'm hoping that it'll work out ok. If not, it can always be changed I suppose.
