We have maybe 20 board books left -- I think that's the most cleaned out section so far. Also heavily depleted are: Music/Media books, cartooning, cartoon strips, and travel.
But I have some applications in at local bookstores, and have been doing some publicity for my latest book, including an interview this past Monday on the local NPR affiliate.
I'm open to possibilities, including relocating, if anyone would want me elsewhere and make it possible for me to afford to move.
And I look forward to being able to afford a Kobo Touch if the price drops far enough. We've been doing well on these, and keep getting more in.
Denardo, you will be an asset to any bookstore anywhere, you have both book and tech skills (and certainly other skill sets not obvious to Livejournal readers). If you can still stomach chain bookselling, do try Barnes & Noble. I worked for both, and B&N was a good company to work for, at least from 1995 - 2005. Best wishes to you, will be checking your website from time to time, hoping all success for you in your future life.
Our store is still pretty full of a lot of stuff. We started moving books up to clear space on the shelf but then the liquidator wanted us to spread them all back out..so now stuff looks fuller but we actually still have a lot of stuff left.
