I told Clare that I might just be as Australian as her, and I think the same goes for you!

Have an excellent Christmas, despite not being home, okay? I hope your skiing experiences improve through the winter, and I'm glad you've recovered from your cold. ♥

Haaha. probably. Well, you've been to more of Australia than I have. Have you been to tazzie? cause if not, I HAVE :D (well.. even if you have, i also have.. XD)

Thank you. Hopefully it will be nice, less irritating Australian family (I am lovely.. but, they are not so. nice.), more snow. <3<3

I miss you too, bb. Bunches. Although I'm sure you already knew that.

And in response to your 100, I looked it up on google just for fun and found some photos of the sky that day and it amazed me at just how orange and surreal it was. Brings back memories that I'd rather forget :(

That day is such a vivid memory to me. It's strange. I remember my cousin was down with us from wollongong and we were off to horsey camp that week, and this was his first itme down in canberra in a few months. and the sky was fucking black. That day passed so slowly, and I remember listening as the warnings went up for all the suburbs around Banks, until finally we were on there too and you could see the fire cresting over the hills, on like, 3 sides. Terrifying.

Seeing as it seems to be memory-sharing time...

I remember we went out into the street after the sky got so dark that we actually had to turn the lights on to check out what was going on and we went to a neighbour's house and stood on their balcony just watching the flames coming over the Brindabellas. Then we turned the radio on and heard them saying that my suburb was one of the emergency areas and just shortly after that we were evacuated. We went to my grandparents' house in Griffith and later that night, my parents went home and brought back the other cat that we hadn't managed to find when we'd been told to get out.

Ugh, I get all shaky just thinking about it. How bad was it in Banks? Because I remember Duffy was the worst hit, then Chapman and then mine.
