I know how this works. I've been on Facebook long enough to know that if you enter your birthday, every friend will be getting a reminder of that birthday for days before and after, on their home page. Even so, it's really cool to log on in the morning and see a bunch of messages wishing you a happy one. :) -
Here, briefly
The count is, 8 days from turning 33, 3 days from a Pearl Jam show, 4 days from as close as I can get to a hometown PJ show. Things are starting to happen. In Highland Park the lilacs are blooming, although the official start to the Lilac Festival isn't until my birthday (some years they just can't get synched.) Pearl Jam just announced 11 dates in May, but there four that stand out foremost for me:
May 9 Cleveland
May 10 Buffalo
May 15 Hartford
May 17 Boston
If all goes well I may just have a birthday week this year. :) -

There really is no reason to be this tense. Well, excepting the fact that I often get this way when Pearl Jam tour announcements are in the offing. And today I'm actually home to see them. And there's a Syracuse tourney game that starts at noon, and I'm supposed to start work at noon...I may be late. -
Round and round
Step 1 : The developers make some change to Facebook's functionality or display.
Step 2: FB users lose their shit, form groups opposing the "new" facebook, clamor to get the old Facebook back, pollute news feeds for weeks
Step 3: People grow used to new things, the furor fades
Step 4: Return to step one -
So
I have one pair of tickets for 10/28 in Philadelphia. I spent an hour attempting and failing to get a pair for the 30th. But I'm going to do my best and view this glass as half full. I'm moving one. Moooving on. Mooooooving....yeah. -
Possibilities
At this point (almost quarter past 11 on Tuesday night) I'm feeling pretty optimistic about ending tomorrow with 10club tickets for the two Philly shows at the end of October. This is a GOOD THING.
But who knows if it will hold true?? -
