Wow! What a rotten, jealous guy, even if he was a bit of a magician.
I think this is a great metaphor for many men who seem magical in the beginning but then turn the spotlight away from their mates little by little due to jealousy, or fear or just the need to control.
Very engaging and GOOD FOR HER for getting free of him in the end!
