Has anyone ever noticed that if a phone goes off in a public place, about 3+ people will reach for their phone or look at their phone within the next 20 seconds?
I did.
Its funny cos I do it too XD;;;

Haha, this problem is easily solved if you have a customised ringtone. Hmm...Kajiura...

Seconded!

I have a loud recording of an icecream truck, it elicits a different response when people hear it XD

it's amusing how people still respond even when it's not their msg tone. Stranger still is that i know it's not my tone, but still check my phone incase someone msged me before and i didn't notice :P

Hahah, oh man sometimes I feel the urge to do this too, but I usually fight it because I know the chances of that happening are highly unlikely. XD

I used to have my phone play Fanelia (escaflowne) and Melodie (Noir) except the problem was I also had those songs on my playlist, so whenever they came on I immediately checked my phone ^^;

Now its a cheap little phone though, and doesn't play Mp3s.

My mom has the opposite problem -- she hears the generic ringtone and keeps wondering why the people around her don't pick up...but it's actually her phone. -_-;;

One of my colleagues set her phone to sound exactly like Singapore's train-door closing noises -- and everyone started panicking automatically. It's a pavlovian reaction! We must dash through the doors before they close! ...she cackled a lot when people asked her to switch ringtones. >__>;;

Your colleague is AWESOME! I'm so tempted! But i don't think people would react as badly as in singapore XD
And ditto with the mum. The amount of times I've tried to call mine and she just hasn't realised it was hers or is paying attention -_-;
