So one of the Spanish twosome, who doesn't speak English, comes up to me today and tells me I'm beautiful. And she was wearing longer shorts. Awesome stuff. I said thank you.

I don't like Rooney either. He hits me as a violent bully. Footballing genius, yes, but a bully at the end of the day.

It will be very interesting. Plus Ronaldo will get boos from British fans in every game (at least for the first couple of weeks). We shall see what happens!

Also, the fact that I am more familiar with the English soccer team simply means that I know that there are two players named Beckham and Rooney, and that I don't know the names of any of the players on any other team, including the U.S. And I wouldn't even know about Rooney except I was going to school outside Manchester around when he started playing for Man United.

But I do like the use of the word "tomatoes". It amuses.

I don't know heads or tails about soccer football, but anyone who gets his balls stamped has my sincere sympathy. With cleats too, right?! Yikes.
