LJ Journal Style Changed
Sort of on a whim tonight, I've decided to change my LJ journal style. I've had the old style for ages, probably since the start of this journal way back in the second half of 2005 and well, I guess it was time for a change. 2011 - Looking Back
- started the year well enough with 9pm fireworks and Casperplace, and with Beccy
- picked up my first K-5. It came with a 18-55WR kit lens, which I sold off not long after
- got two more YN560 speedlights, which were the updated versions. Haven't gotten any more since then, so it's 5x YN560 and 2x AF-540FGZ flashes that I have, for a total of 7

Portrait
I was a bit bored last night so I decided to do some strobing. I following was shot with the K-7 and 35/2.0 and lit with four flashes. I had one YN560 with a stofen behind the subject’s head for a bit of separation of the subject and the background. Two YN560 flashes were at 90° left and right as sandwich lighting. 2011 April Desktop
Hadn’t changed my wallpaper since the January, so I’ve decided to use one of the shots from this morning as my wallpaper. I’ve made a few minor changes to the desktop since last time; I’ve started using a taskbar next to the start button for my data drive, and this has allowed me to shrink my Rocketdock by one icon.

To Sigma 85mm or Not To
So the Easter break is coming up, and this time, it’ll be a long one. There’s Easter Friday, the weekend, Easter Monday, and because Easter Monday is also Anzac Day, there is also another public holiday on the Tuesday. Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon, Tues. Five days. Bridal Photos Photo Dump
The couple that I shot the wedding for the other week wanted some bridal photos, and surprisingly enough, they wanted me to shoot them. So, I did. We started out at St Mary's Cathedral, moved on over to Blue's Point Reserve and then finished at Observatory Hill. Decided to take one of my sunrise photos from yesterday morning and make that my new desktop wallpaper. Yes, the horizon doesn't line up, but since the monitors are physically separated, it's not an issue.
