You've got a horrible day for it so far! Let's hope it clears a bit before midday.

Getting wet is nothing compared to living with mental illness.

Ouch.
It's not just a little rain, it's a heavy wind & rain warning.
:(

Parades, activism and marches of this type usually get put off in the event of bad weather, Mental health awareness week is all week, any chance it'll be rescheduled?

Sorry I didn't post a thread earlier, yesterday wasn't so good for me. The march went well, more people needed though I guess the rain discouraged them from showing up. We marched from Cuba Street to Parliament, stopping at The Mental Health Commission to ask for support in our march (no one wanted to!They didn't want to get wet!Pathetic considering they are supposed to be on our side!) and after parliament we went to the Ministry of Health and chanted outside until management came out and people were all staring out the windows which was quite hilarious to witness. Understandably we were knackered after walking all that way and continually chanting so we called it a day after that lol hey some of us are on heavy medication so walking all that way is a big ask.

I just emailed the organiser and asked him if he plans to make this an annual event and offered our help to do the next one.

I'm tired zzzzzz.
