It's funny how the simplest lessons seem to be the ones that have to be learned again and again. As I find myself back where I can accept circumstances around me for what they are rather than what I want them to be, I wonder where it was that I lost sight of that. How far back? Days? Months? All I wanted was my ideal.  I thought this place was it.  A home where the surface is irrelevant, seen-through, a side-effect.  A place where honesty is the default, and untruth cannot stand.

Six months ago today, I arrived here at Dancing Rabbit in the middle of a potluck, and was so overwhelmed that I broke down and cried.
