Jack isn't sure why he's so lucky, but once again, he's missed out on the random switching around of bodies and he's pretty grateful for that. His son isn't even a month old yet and he doesn't want to traumatize the little boy by trying to carry him around while he looks like a woman. So Jack Crew is a father.
It's sort of a stunning realization to come to, but it's here and it's real and Jack doesn't know if he'll ever stop smiling. Sam is perfect and he knows that all parents think that, but it's true. After making various molds and screwing them up, then struggling to melt down his bracelet and almost screwing that up, Jack finally has a plain silver band made for Kate and it's certainly not the nicest engagement ring he's seen, but he hopes the fact that he went through so much to make it will be worth more than a big diamond.
