Thx. That was actually an accident, I'm working on editing it into an actual entry right now. I suddenly can't select between Rich Text and HTML on LJ in Netscape, and I'm still getting the hang of using Safari to post.

Watch this space. :)

The sense I got of McCain during the campaign was not of somebody evil, but of somebody who had wanted the presidency for so long that he'd forgotten why he wanted it ... and was wedded to a set of ideas and ideologies that would have been disaterous for our country. I get a sense of Palin as 'a bad person', but I don't know enough about her to think of her as Cheney-evil -- just misguided, part of an evil movement (but she could just be a misguided follower -- though that would still lead to evil being done because of that if she were in power), intellectually unqualified, and morally smallClinton strikes me as a basically good person, but unfortunately too conservative to be what the country needs right now. (I'd have liked to see a moderate liberal -- maybe a barely-liberal centrist -- but moderately-conservative Obama was my second choice, as much for his ( ... )

(BTW: Hi there! I've been thinking about you lately, and had reason to mention you in two conversations this week (and, unsurprisingly, I think of you whenver I pick up more malta at the grocery store -- did I ever mention that I accidentally got one of my Canadian friends hooked on it?))
