I can't really speak for anyone else, but it all sounds good to me, especially the point where he really has no contact with her. It's like digging a hole only to be told to fill it back up.

Ah, for my part...I like the not godmoding the director part, and that concern is cleared up, but I do still have some doubts about the functionality. If he doesn't have any real authority or connection to the director, then I don't really see why anyone will bother reporting to him after his first post, except as occasional pranks. Is he just going to magically appear in conversations where the director is mentioned and start taking notes which never get to her?

I know this sounds anal given a lot of people never do their counselor jobs at all, but I really like counselor jobs and like seeing them done well, and this one I have trouble really getting.

Well, like I said, I never intended to keep up the secretary thing for the long term. It seemed like a good comedic way for him to interact with camp for a while. And Harper will slide into something more functional on his own (there is precedent with Vash, and I think a couple others?).

If the job is that large of a problem there is the option of a pre intro job retcon (which is why I haven't introed or comment ninja'd him yet or uploaded icons which would increase the temptation), or even adding his eventual functional job to the secretary bit now. I have to say that a different job wouldn't have changed 90% of the app, in fact the only real changes would have been substituting secretary for something else and the last paragraph. *shrug*
