As someone who ticks the 'mixed other' box every time I fill in one of those standard demographic forms I can see why I might have something interesting to say on the topic. I'm not sure if I do really, life is life and racism hasn't had too much of an impact on me.

I survived a wedding + Meme: Religion

So.
I went to a wedding last weekend. The pastor opened the ceremony by stating "if you've been to a church wedding before, this isn't one of those. This is a Christian wedding." And so it was.
There were hymns pretending to be pop songs, the last of which made me cringe for its misuse of the word reign in the phrase "rein me ( Read more... ) -

Between working full time, band practice and now heading off to spend the weekend in a field listening to music I haven't had a chance to write about all the interesting things that have been suggested.

This weekend past I saw New Model Army and finished Nothing to Envy. Both good in their own way.
With the death of Kim Jong-il we may be looking at economic reform and progress in North Korea, or just bloody conflict. Everything seems speculative at the moment.
