But! Two things:
1. My friend and I are going downtown tonight for a girls night, and if you're gonna be down there or want to, you are totally welcome to come join us.
2. I have read way back in your lj and see that you used to work at the co-op and that you love to bake. Annnd I've read your waffle cookie rage, lol. WELL. I was wondering, does the co-op bake or order them? And if they do bake them, and you know the recipe (or any cookie like that in general, doesn't have to be those specifically), would you maybe be willing to get together and teach me how to make them?
Sad! I would have LOVED going out tonight (oh man, I was reaaaally needing a drink tonight) but due to catering season HELL I had to work!
As for the cookies, they do make them all in store. I am racking my brain to remember what the waffle cookies are (it HAS been a damn long time since I've worked there) but I think a hang out/baking lesson would be really fun. I've been in quite a funk these last few months with friends (or the lack thereof) and could really benefit from some fun.
I make all the cookies for my job now (Jenny's Lunch Line) so my recipes are perfected and I've got three huge cookbooks of just cookie recipes, haha. If you can remind me of the cookie type, I'm sure I can easily track down the recipe or one that's very similar.
Yay! We should try to do this within the next few weeks or so.
Yay! I'm excited about this! I definitely know what you mean about being in a funk friendwise. I've been there a while. It's too bad its so late, we are still out and you could totally come meet us for a drink, but I'm sure it'll be too late ny the time you get this. These last few months have been rough and it's all starting to weigh down on me. I can't seem to find a happy medium and because of that I've exhausted my friends and relationships.
Either I avoid them and close myself off or I need them too much and they just get tired of me. First I tried to tell myself that they were the crazy ones and I don't deserve the treatment but when I make a list of all the people who used to be such a huge part of my daily life and are no longer, the only connection I find is me. I've managed to chase and scare off my best friends and relationships.
