 First four grad school classes were all charcoal. Now it seems I've moved onto the oil paints stage. I'd never painted at all before. Crafts, sure. That is, actually, some awesome work. The lighting's perfect. Oil paints escape me utterly.

Anyway some people do take to oils and I think you're one of them~! It looks super realistic and I'm jealous of your oil skills lol

That looks great for a first try! The shading is amazing.

I could never really work with oils for long because the EAU DE LINSEED gave me the most awful migraines. DX

But working with acrylics is a lot of fun! I know people mostly just use them for costumes, but on paper, they create vibrant color that dries quickly and is very forgiving!
