vulture23 and I saw They Might Be Giants last night. That was my eighth time, and each and every one has been an amazing show.

Flans even commented that it's unusual for the room to be too cold or the crowd to be too sober, but we were it.

Elvis Costello made a similar remark about Melbourne a few years ago at the gig I went to. Then again, they did hold it in one of the theatres at the Arts Centre that's usually used for opera...

Wow, cool!

I was so spaced out that I didn't see they were in town down around my parts. Wish I had. Ah well, I did get to see them last year.

I've seen They twice, at CMU in 1999 and at UCSB last year. Last year I think they were getting away from the accordion and into the guitar a little too much. But (I think it was) Flans who had a pretty cool electronic segment. Did they play along to random radio stations? That was a cool segment they did at UCSB. Having also been out of touch with a few years of albums, hearing their concert lured me into buying a couple of the more recent ones while I was at the concert.

Also, cool rewrite on Sun Shine. Sometimes it does seem like Washington is about to implode and ignite. Yeah, happy thoughts.

I've seen them twice--once in a gym at Cornell my freshman year, once in a club in Charlotte, NC. I have most of their music prior to '97/college, very little after.
