Armed with the warning from the Apple Store that if I shipped my Powerbook in to Apple for hard drive replacement, I'd probably never see the drive (or its data) again, I called AppleCare. Christmas/New Year's cards finished/labeled/stamped/mailed, except for Phill's, because I figure I'll see him at some point and give him other things as well. :) Went down to the post office to see my favorite postman, Mr. Locke, who's really a character behind the counter, and to get an extra $0.06 postage to bump one envelope up to $0.80.
